This explains what ARZU Coffee collects when you order or message us, why, and who else sees it. It is written to be read rather than skimmed, because it is short: we collect what is needed to make your coffee, bring it to you, and answer you, and nothing else.
When you order
When you place an order, we store:
- Your name and mobile number, so the shop can confirm the order and reach you about it.
- Your email address, only if you choose to give one. It is optional and the order works without it.
- For delivery: the district, street, building and any note you add for the driver.
- What you ordered, the sizes, and the prices at the moment you ordered.
- Which language you ordered in, so the shop can answer you in it.
That is the whole of it. There is no account to create, no profile built about you, and no purchase history kept against your name beyond the orders themselves.
When you message us
The contact form asks for your name, your email address, what the message is about, and the message itself. It sends them to the shop's email inbox.
None of it is stored on this website; there is no copy in our database. It sits in the shop's inbox like any other email, and your address is used to reply to you and for nothing else. You are not added to any mailing list.
So the form cannot be used to send floods of mail, we note the address a message came from for ten minutes. Nothing of it is kept after that.
What we never see
Card details. When you pay by card, the card number, expiry and security code are typed into a form served by Moyasar, our payment processor, and go directly to them. They never reach this website or its servers. What we are told afterwards is the card network, the last four digits, the amount, and whether it succeeded — enough to match a payment to your order and to refund it, and not enough to charge a card.
We also run no advertising trackers, no analytics, and set no tracking cookies. Nobody is told that you visited.
What stays in your browser
Some things are kept on your own device and never sent anywhere. They exist so the site is usable, not so we can learn about you:
- Your cart, and whether you chose delivery or collection.
- Your name, number and address, so you do not retype them next time. You can clear these from the checkout page at any time.
- The reference numbers of orders you placed on this device, kept for 48 hours so you can find them again.
Clearing your browser's site data removes all of it. Nothing is lost that the shop still needs.
Who else sees your details
- Moyasar, our payment processor, when you pay by card. They handle the card itself; we send them the amount and the order number.
- The delivery company, for delivery orders. They are given your name, number and address so they can find you — never your payment details.
- The companies that host the site and its database, who store the data on our behalf and do not use it.
- Google, who host the shop's email. A message sent through the contact form arrives in a Gmail inbox and is kept there.
We do not sell your details, and we do not share them for advertising.
The map on our home page loads its imagery from OpenStreetMap, which means your device's IP address reaches them while the map is on screen. If you tap “Get directions”, that opens Google Maps and is governed by Google's own terms.
How long we keep it
Orders are kept as the shop's record of what was sold, which tax rules require us to retain. Ask us to delete your details and we will remove your name, number, email and address from past orders, keeping only what the sale itself has to show.
Messages sent through the contact form stay in the shop's inbox until they are deleted, like any other email. Ask us to delete yours and we will.
Your rights
Under Saudi Arabia's Personal Data Protection Law you may ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. Write to us using the details at the bottom of this page and we will answer. There is no charge.
Keeping it safe
The site is served over an encrypted connection. Order details can be read only by shop staff who have been given an account, and card payments are handled entirely by Moyasar, who are regulated for that purpose.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
